An extraordinary master, Mingyur Namkhé Dorjé (1793-1870)—the Fourth Dzogchen Drubwang— was the teacher of some of the greatest lamas of the last century, such as Jamyang Khyentsé Wangpo, Do Khyentsé Yéshé Dorjé, Dza Paltrül Orgyen Jikmé Chökyi Wangpo and Jü Mipam Namgyal Gyatso.
He reached the state of realization of Dzogchen called Chönyi Zésa, ‘the wearing out of phenomenal reality’ (the fourth vision of lhundrub tögal practice), and had completely transcended all worldly concerns and conventional norms.
Because of this, Mingyur Namkhé Dorjé became something of a legend and stories about his clairvoyance and supernatural deeds abound.
