Dorjé Yudrönma
Appearance
Leader of the Twelve Tenma Sisters, Dorjé Yudrönma is a chökyong (dharma protector).
She belongs to the Nöjin class of beings. This ancient group of female protector deities, predating Buddhism in Tibet, were bound under oath by Guru Rinpoché at Asura Cave in present-day Pharping, Nepal. Guru Rinpoché entrusted them with guarding the borders of the four directions and protecting Tibet and Kham from invasions and non-dharmic influences.
As an emanation of Dorjé Pakmo, with special connections to Ralchikma (Skt. Ekadzati), Dorjé Yudrönma is particularly renowned for her association with divination practices, especially mirror divination and the protection of the Longchen Nyingtik lineage.
