Khenpo Chöying Khyabdral Dorjé studied studied the transmission lineages and practices of Dzogchen Nyingtik for three years under Yukhok Jadralwa Chöying Rangdrol.
Through this, the extraordinary realization of the dharmakaya arose in him, earning him the name Chöying Khyabdral Dorjé.
Khenpo Chökhyab went on to master both sutras and mantras in the manner of Dza Paltrül Orgyen Jikmé Chökyi Wangpo, utterly renouncing material possessions as a mark of authentic practice.
He ultimately came to reside at Ösal Nyingpo'i Gyen in the lower part of Serta, where he turned the wheel of Dharma with the luminous Dzogchen as its heart.

Khenpo Chöying Khyabdral Dorjé
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
