Shadrak Dorjé Dzong
A very impressive mountain with amazingly steep rocks, old trees, and a wrathful energy, Shadrak Dorjé Dzong lies hidden at the heart of the Ngala Taktsé mountain range, which is on the left bank of the Ser Chu, close to the village of Nubzur.
One of its special rock walls, Shadrak Dorjé Dzong is filled with miraculous signs: swastikas, Tibetan sacred letters, and other mysterious glyphs. In the 8th century, Guru Rinpoché and Yéshé Tsogyal visited Shadrak Dorjé Dzong and filled it with sater, earth termas. In 1859, Düdjom Lingpa revealed the Zabsang Khandro Nyingtik, ‘The Profound Doctrine of the Heart Essence of the Dakinis’, terma cycle in Shadrak Dorjé Dzong. Later, Dzongter Kunzang Nyima said that the place is filled with termas, “like a bag of tsampa”.
