Lama Garwang
bla ma gar dbang/
Fully trained in the Katok tradition, Lama Garwang also received the Düdjom Tersar from Trülku Dorjé Dradul, the twelfth child and eighth son of Düdjom Lingpa.
Relying on dharma during the era of political turbulence and through dire conditions, he remained an unshakable yogi. He is esteemed as a tertön and a revered teacher of our own times, and one of the root teachers of Anam Thubten.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
