Garlong Sungtrül Orgyen Jikmé Dorjé
His main teacher Khangsar Tenpé Wangchuk (1938-2014) soon recognized Garlong Sungtrül Orgyen Jikmé Dorjé (b.1965) as an incarnation of Garlong Trülku (one of the Second Gara Terchen Düdul Wangchuk Lingpa's trülkus).
Presently, Garlong Sungtrül Orgyen Jikmé Dorjé is filling in the missing parts of the termas revealed by his root teacher. As a tertön, his own termas are supplementary to those of Kangshar Tenpé Wangchuk. Khangsar Tenpé Wangchuk entrusted him as one of his main chödaks, and as vajra master of both Pennak and Taklung monasteries.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
