Dolung Rizab
mdo lung ri zab
Located on the upper banks of the Do Chu, on the border between the Ser Chu and the Do Chu valleys, Dolung Rizab is a chögar (dharma camp) established by Dzongter Kunzang Nyima (1904-1958), a grandson and the speech incarnation of Düdjom Lingpa.
Dolung Rizab is situated on the other side of the mountain than Lungshar Ritö (aka Lungsho Rizab, which is on the Ser Chu side), and is facing the Do Chu.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
