Döjo Bumzang
The Döjo Bumzang ('The Excellent Wish-Granting Vase') is a varied collection of termas that was compiled by Terdak Lingpa (1646-1714) and his brother Lochen Dharmashri (1654-1718). It is considered a forerunner of the Rinchen Terdzö, and includes sixty-seven empowerments from tertöns such as Nyangrel Nyima Özer, Guru Chöwang, Rigdzin Gödemchen, Pema Lingpa, etc.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
