The fourth son of Sonam Déu’tsen—the mind emanation and a grandson of Düdjom Lingpa—Tulku Padma Wangyal (1953-1990) was a contemporary hidden yogi of the Düdjom Tersar lineage. His main teachers include Sera Yangtrul Tsultrim Gyatso (1925-1988), an incarnation of Tulku Drimé Özer (1881-1924); and two grandsons of Düdjom Lingpa: Tulku Dampa (1928-1983) and Tulku Nyida (1929-1985).

After his passing in 1990, Tulku Pema Wanglo’s body—though tall man— shrunk to the size of an arrow of 40cm. He achieved the rainbow body, the greatest signs of realization.
