Trülku Lhaksam Namdak
A modern day teacher, Tulku Lhaksam Namdak is a son of Namtrul Jikmé Püntsok, who briefly established a relationship with a woman named Shambo during the trouble times of the 1970’s. Recognized as an incarnation of Zhyichen Kunzang Nyima (a root teacher of his father) and of Wangchuk Dorje (a brother of Taré Lhamo), Tulku Lhaksam Namdak is now a main lineage holder of the treasure teachings of his father and of Taré Lhamo, and head of Nyenlung monastery (Golok).
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
