Trépo Sang Ngak
spras po gsang sngags/
The paternal grand-father of Düdjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje, Trépo Sang-ngak (19th-19th) was the Twenty-Fourth Kanam Dépa, the hereditary ruler of Powo. He had two sons: the eldest one Tulku Jampa Norbu (19th-20th)—the father of Düdjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje and Tulku Palden—, and the youngest one Trepo Sönam Yangchen (19th-20th).
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
