Tawo Chuter
rta bo chu gter
Throughout his life, Trülku Lhachen Tobyal (1884-1942) discovered many other natural springs of medicinal water. According to Tulku Jigme Wangdrak, one of these chuter (a terma source of water) is found in the town of Tawo Zholma, in Golok. It is a natural spring with healing water. Since it’s discovery in the first part of the 20th century, many people have drunk water from the source and been fully healed from sicknesses.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
