‘A Clear Miror’, the Salwé Mélong is the long secret autobiography of Düdjom Lingpa. Initiated by a request made by Ekadzati herself in 1874 when Düdjom Lingpa was thirty-nine of age, the text was completed sometime after the year 1888, based on insistent requests by one hundred of his disciples. With eighty pages of length, the Salwé Mélong chronologically covers the life of Düdjom Lingpa from his birth (1835) until he reached the age of sixty-three (1888). The text, filled with visions of buddhas, wisdom deities, and unusual interactions with human beings, constitutes an oral composition of Düdjom Lingpa, transcribed in his presence mainly by his student Lama Orgyen Rangshar.
