Néluk Rangjung
‘The Vajra Essence’, The Neluk Rangjung is the most extensive of Dudjom Lingpa's five major Dzogchen treatises. The Néluk Rangjung was revealed to Dudjom Lingpa in a pure vision of the Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra in an extended question and answer dialogue with his circle of disciples. Being part of the Daknang Yeshe Drawa terma cycle, it offers a systematic presentation of the whole path of Dzogchen. Within the Dudjom Tersar lineage, the Neluk Rangjung has become an essential instruction manual on Tögal.
While editing the text, Düdjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje added in its colophon that the Neluk Rangjung "is the ambrosial essence of speech of the pervasive expanse, uncluttered by scriptural citations, syllogisms, or errors; when well taught, these practical instructions bring enlightenment within a hand’s reach in a single lifetime, ripening as the heart’s power of those of good fortune".
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
