Khenchen Namdrol Tséring
Born in 1953, Khenchen Namdrol Tséring—aka Kheno Namdrol—is one of the leading scholars in the Nyingma tradition and is universally acknowledged as an expert on the Gyü Sangwa Nyingpo (Guhyagarbha Tantra) and its various commentaries.
As a khenchen, he is one of three most senior khenpos of Namdröling Monastery. Also, he is one of the foremost disciples of Chöjé Dampa Jikmé Püntsok.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
