Gyalsé Shenphen Nyima
A practitioner of immense depth, Gyalsé Shenphen Nyima (1954-2024) was the third son of Sönam Déutsen (1910-1959), the mind emanation and grandson of Dudjom Lingpa. Through his powerful unchanging bond with his father and the lineage, he was able to preserve Dudjom Lingpa’s profound termas, not only through study and practice, but by bringing a new generation of practitioners into the world.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
