Dzö Dün
Composed by Longchen Rabjamp (1308-1364), the Dzö Dün (The Seven Treasuries) constitute the most comprehensive systematization of Nyingma philosophy and practice, particularly concerning Dzogchen teachings. Written during periods of solitary retreat between approximately 1340 and 1363, these seven treatises, ranging from the Yishyin Dzö (Wishfulfilling Treasury) to the Chöying Dzö (Treasury of the Dharmadhatu), reconcile tantric Buddhism with Mahayana scholasticism, while establishing a hierarchical framework for interpreting the nine vehicles. Longchenpa's synthesis has exerted enduring influence on subsequent Tibetan Buddhist scholasticism, particularly within the Nyingma tradition, and stands today as a reference of the highest authority in discussions among scholars and practitioners alike.
