One of the eight main manifestations of Guru Rinpoché, Dorjé Drolö ('The 'Wild Wrathful Vajra') is a wrathful form of Guru Rinpoché.

Riding upon a pregnant tigress, he assumed this manifestation in Paro Taktsang (Bhutan) in order to bring the local deities and guardians under his control.

Düdjom Lingpa was considered an emanation of Dorjé Drolö and revealed several terma practices of Dorjé Drolö (i.e. Lama Yangtrö Dorjé Drolö) within the Zabsang Khandro Nyingtik terma cycle.

His incarnation Düdjom Jigdrel Yéshé Dorjé was also an emanation of Dorjé Drolö. According to Tsédrub Lama Tharchin, Düdjom Jigdrel Yéshé Dorjé revealed three distinct practices of Dorjé Drolö: the Düdul Wangdrak Dorjé Drolö, the Péma Sokdrub and the Hung Drub.
