Dükyi Khorlo
The ‘Wheel of Time’, Kālacakra is a tantra belonging to the unsurpassed yoga tantra of the new translations, often classified as a non-dual tantra. It contains comprehensive teachings on cosmology, doctrine, philosophy, sociology, enlightenment, prophecy, medicine, and the yogic stages of generation and completion. The tradition is also known for its distinctive interlaced mantra symbol—a vertical stack of ten Sanskrit syllables artistically woven together—which serves as a powerful visual representation of the deity's essence.
Since the early 8th century, Tibetans and Himalayan people have treasured "Namtars" as written or spoken narratives that demonstrate the realization of the Buddhist path by exceptional practitioners. These namtars, or spiritual biographies, serve as inspirational guides on the path to enlightenment.
Today, Namtars Foundation aims to record, preserve, and freely offer the world a written and electronic treasury of the oral wisdom of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism.
