Also known as Üza Khandro and Sera Khandro, Déwé Dorje (1892-1940) was a tertön, Dzogchen teacher and dedicated Buddhist practitioner. Born into a politically powerful family in Lhasa (Central Tibet), she was inspired to flee the comforts of secular life and follow her destiny to the wilds of eastern Tibet in the early 1900s. There she became the consort of Tulku Drimé Özer (1881-1924) and a holder and propagator of the Düdjom Tersar. Déwé Dorjé is counted among the main teachers of Jadral Sangyé Dorjé (1913–2015).
